イアン・ニッシュ

イアン・ヒル・ニッシュ（Ian Hill Nish, 1926年6月3日 - 2022年7月31日^[1]）は、イギリスの歴史学者。専門は、日本外交史・日英関係史。ロンドン大学名誉教授。

経歴

1926年、エディンバラ生まれ。ロンドン大学東洋アフリカ研究学院卒業後、エディンバラ大学で修士号取得。

シドニー大学（1957-1962年）を経て、ロンドン・スクール・オブ・エコノミクスで教鞭を執り、1991年に退官。2007年に日本学士院名誉会員に選ばれた。

受賞・栄典

• 1991年：勲三等旭日中綬章を受章。
• 1991年：国際交流基金賞を受賞。
