クリスティアン・ヴォーリン (Kristian Wåhlin、1971年12月4日 - ) は、スウェーデン・イェーテボリ出身のヘヴィメタルミュージシャン、グラフィックデザイナー。「ネクロロード」の芸名でも知られる。デザイナーとしての代表作に、ディセクションやエンペラーなどのアルバムのアートワークがある。トーマス・リンドバーグの在籍したバンド、(グロテスク)ではギタリストとして活動した。

略歴
高校在学中に絵画に興味を持ち始める。初期に影響を受けた画家として、カスパー・ダーヴィト・フリードリヒ、アルブレヒト・デューラー、ヒエロニムス・ボスといったロマン主義やルネサンス期の画家を挙げている[2]。音楽活動を開始したのもこの頃である。
17歳になると、学友のトーマス・リンドバーグ、アルフ・スヴェンソン、トーマス・エリクソンとともに(グロテスク)を結成[3]。グロテスクが1990年に解散し、これを契機として、のちに「イエテボリ・サウンド」の創始者として知られることになるアット・ザ・ゲイツが結成される。ヴォーリンとアット・ザ・ゲイツとの交流はその後も続き、自身のバンド(ライアーズ・イン・ウェイト)には、アット・ザ・ゲイツのメンバーらがごく短期間ではあるが在籍[4]。またのちに、彼らの代表作『Slaughter of the Soul』に聖像のアートワークを提供している。
そのほか、同郷のブラックメタルバンド、ディセクションの1stアルバム『The Somberlain』、2ndアルバム『Storm of the Light's Bane』のアートワークを担当。後者の、雪に覆われたツンドラの中で馬に乗った死神の図像は特に名高い。ノルウェーのブラックメタルバンド、エンペラーのデビュー作『In the Nightside Eclipse』もまた、ヴォーリンによるジャケットが高く評価されるアルバムである。これらの作品を嚆矢に、ヴォーリンはアルバム・アーティストとしての活躍を続け、ヨーロッパのデスメタル、ブラックメタル、ドゥームメタル、パワーメタル、ゴシックメタルなど、2000年代を通じて数多くのバンドのアルバムのアートワークを手がけた。
ヴォーリンの率いていたバンド、ライアーズ・イン・ウェイトと(デコレーション)は1990年代中頃に活動を停止。1995年には、以前に参加していたバンドのメンバーらと共に、ゴシックメタルバンド、(ディアボリーク)を結成。また、旧友リンドバーグとともに、ハードコア・バンド、(ザ・グレイト・ディシーヴァー)にも参加している。
現在、彼のアートスタジオはスウェーデンの(ヘガネス)にある。
